SLAYER Tease New Latin American Live Dates

Slayer 2025

SLAYER appear to be teasing a new set of Latin American live dates, based on a recent video clip that highlights several major cities across the region. The teaser also confirms that exact details will be revealed on May 29, a date that is prominently featured in the video.

The clip showcases Bogotá, Santiago, Buenos Aires, São Paulo, and Mexico City, pointing to a run of appearances across Latin America rather than a single-country engagement. With stops spanning both South and North America, the routing clearly fits a broader Latin American slate of shows, with Mexico City anchoring the northernmost stop.

While full details are still under wraps, the May 29 reveal date suggests that venues, ticketing information, and precise scheduling will be announced then. For now, the teaser serves as a clear indication that additional live activity is on the way, without confirming a traditional touring cycle.

These upcoming dates arrive during a particularly active period for SLAYER’s current live chapter. The band is also marking the 40th anniversary of their landmark album Reign In Blood with special full-album performances, giving fans a rare opportunity to experience the record played in its entirety.

Those anniversary appearances include a show on September 4 in Shakopee, followed by two nights in Los Angeles on November 13 and November 14.

Support for the Los Angeles shows will come from CANNIBAL CORPSECAVALERA and CROWBAR, while the Minnesota date will feature DOWNSUICIDAL TENDENCIES and HATEBREED.

SLAYER originally concluded their farewell tour in November 2019, seemingly closing the chapter on their storied career. However, the band made a surprise return in 2024, opting for a limited number of high-profile appearances rather than a full-scale comeback. Since then, they’ve performed at major events across North America and Europe, including a notable East Coast stop at Hersheypark Stadium and festival appearances like Louder Than Life.

They also paid tribute to heavy metal pioneers BLACK SABBATH by performing a six-song set at the band’s sold-out “Back To The Beginning” final concert on July 5, 2025, held at Villa Park in Birmingham, England — further cementing their legacy among metal’s elite.

The lineup for all of SLAYER’s comeback shows in 2024 and 2025 has remained consistent with their final 2019 tour, featuring Kerry King and Paul Bostaph alongside Tom Araya and Gary Holt.
