SLIPKNOT performed without their percussionist, M. Shawn Crahan (a.k.a. Clown), at the Sonic Temple festival in Columbus, Ohio, this past weekend.

Before starting the fourth song of SLIPKNOT‘s headlining set on Sunday (May 19) during the four-day event, singer Corey Taylor addressed Clown‘s absence, informing the crowd: “First things first, obviously, we are missing one of our brothers. Clown, yesterday, broke a tooth, had to have it removed. There is an issue. He had to stay home for medical reasons, but he insisted that we come here and f**king play this f**king show for each and every goddamn one of you, man.”

“He is missed. He is essential, and goddammit, on the count of three, I want you to f**kin tell him all that he is so f**king loved. I wanna hear you scream! ONE! TWO! THREE!”

Sonic Temple marked SLIPKNOT‘s fourth show with their new drummer, Eloy Casagrande, formerly of SEPULTURA.

Before Sonic Temple, SLIPKNOT performed on April 25 at Pappy + Harriet’s in Pioneertown, California, on April 27 at Sick New World in Las Vegas, Nevada, and on May 12 at Welcome To Rockville in Daytona Beach, Florida.

For all four performances, SLIPKNOT embraced a classic look, reintroducing the 1999 red jumpsuits and incorporating elements of their early masks into their modern versions, in celebration of the band’s 25th anniversary.
