SLIPKNOT had to shorten their set last night (Saturday, September 21) at their Knotfest Iowa festival due to “severe weather” conditions.
Originally slated to perform at 9 p.m., SLIPKNOT took the stage an hour early after all set times were “adjusted for the best possible experience.”
The festival kicked off with doors opening at 11 a.m., and the first band, HOLY WARS, hit the main stage at 11:30 a.m.
In the early evening, organizers announced the updated set times on social media, stating: “Attention: Due to the threat of incoming severe weather, set times have been adjusted to accommodate all acts for the best possible experience. DYING WISH – 6pm; Till Lindemann – 630pm; GWAR – 7pm; SLIPKNOT – 8pm”.
Approximately three hours later, after SLIPKNOT completed an 11-song set that lasted under an hour, the organizers ended the event, posting on social media: “Unfortunately, the weather is not cooperating, and it is time to pull the plug. Please exit the park slowly and drive home safely. Thanks for joining us at Knotfest Iowa.”
SLIPKNOT‘s next performance is scheduled for September 26 at the Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, Kentucky, followed by a set at Aftershock in Sacramento, California, on October 11.
