Stanley Simmons Live Debut

STANLEY SIMMONS, the collaborative project led by Evan Stanley and Nick Simmons — sons of KISS legends Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons — officially stepped onto the live stage for the first time on Monday night (May 4).

The debut performance took place at the House of Blues Voodoo Room in San Diego, California, marking the band’s first-ever concert in front of an audience.

The project has been building momentum in recent months, with STANLEY SIMMONS confirming a short run of additional California shows set to follow the debut. The band will continue its live schedule with performances on May 6 at the Constellation Room in Santa Ana, May 10 at The Siren in Morro Bay, and May 13 at Ventura Music Hall in Ventura.

Alongside the live activity, STANLEY SIMMONS is also preparing for the release of its debut full-length album, Dancing While The World Is Ending, due out on August 28. The record will feature 12 tracks, including previously released singles “Body Down” and the title track.

A third single, “Temporary Love,” is scheduled to arrive on May 8. Speaking about the song, Evan Stanley noted, “It’s the first song Nick and I ever wrote together.”

The project brings together two musicians who have known each other since childhood, having grown up around the global touring lifestyle of their famous fathers. Despite that long-standing connection, a musical collaboration was never initially on the table.

That changed in December 2024, when a spontaneous Instagram reel unexpectedly brought Evan and Nick together in front of microphones for the first time. Looking back on the moment, the duo described an immediate spark.

“We were shocked,” Evan and Nick recalled. “The chemistry was instant. The way our voices locked together… it was undeniable.”

What started as a casual experiment quickly turned into something much more serious. By February 2025, the pair had begun writing together, still approaching it with no expectations beyond curiosity and enjoyment. However, the results once again proved too strong to ignore, and STANLEY SIMMONS officially came to life.

As the creative process developed, the duo began shaping a sound rooted in expression, musicianship, and storytelling. Early bedroom recordings eventually made their way into the hands of acclaimed producer Rob Cavallo (GREEN DAYFLEETWOOD MACPARAMOREMY CHEMICAL ROMANCEDave Matthews), who not only signed on to produce their debut full-length album but also stepped into a management role.

Speaking recently on The Drew Lane ShowKISS frontman Paul Stanley also shared his thoughts on the project and the partnership between his son and Gene Simmons’ son.

Reflecting on how it all began, Paul said, “Nick and Evan have basically known each other their [whole] lives, but didn’t really get close until the last year where they said, ‘Oh, let’s try singing or writing.’ Their album, which I’ve heard, is frigging phenomenal. I mean, it’s as good as anything I’ve heard in the last three or four decades. It’s that good. So it’s terrific, and it’s organic.”
