SOULFLY has officially announced that WARBRINGER bassist Chase Bryant will be joining the band for its highly anticipated European tour, which kicks off June 7 at the South Of Heaven festival in Maastricht, Netherlands.
The news comes shortly after SOULFLY’s recent split with longtime bassist Mike Leon, who joined the band in 2015 following the departure of Tony Campos. Leon’s tenure with the group saw him contributing to numerous tours and recordings, but April marked the end of his chapter with SOULFLY.
Frontman Max Cavalera expressed his excitement about the new lineup, stating, “Welcome to the tribe, Chase!” He continued, “Chase will be playing bass for SOULFLY on our Spirit Animal Europe tour ‘25! Chase is an amazing player, technical but also full of thrash vibes! SOULFLY will play festivals like Graspop and Copenhell and we’ll go from Germany to Bulgaria dropping groove bombs everywhere! JUMPDAF**KUP TRIBE!!!”
SOULFLY is still touring in support of its latest album, Totem, released in August 2022 through Nuclear Blast. The album, a follow-up to 2018’s Ritual, was recorded at Platinum Underground in Mesa, Arizona, with John Aquilino and Arthur Rizk, assisted by John Powers.
