STONE SOUR Frontman COREY TAYLOR Greeted By ‘F**k NICKELBACK’ Chant At Chicago Open Air Festival

STONE SOUR frontman Corey Taylor was greeted by a “F*ck NICKELBACK!” chant during his band’s performance at the Chicago Open Air festival appearance this past weekend. Check out the video below.

The dispute between STONE SOUR and NICKELBACK started when the latter group’s frontman, Chad Kroeger, blasted STONE SOUR as “NICKELBACK Lite” and called out Corey Taylor for alleging saying that it was “easy” to write a hit song.

As the singer was making his way back on stage to sing the hit STONE SOUR ballad “Bother”, fans began chanting “F*ck NICKELBACK!”, prompting Corey to break into a huge smile. “You guys are f*cking insane. Come on! Get it out of your f*cking system. Make some f*cking noise out there. Beautiful, crazy b*tches.”

He continued: “I’ll tell you what: we’re going to play you a non-hit song,” adding air quotes to the word “non-hit.”

Recently in an interview with Sweden’s Metal Covenant, Chad Kroeger said that STONE SOUR was “trying to be NICKELBACK,” adding: “Corey Taylor has said some really nasty things about me before in the press. He talks about how easy it is to write a hit song. Well, show me. Show me. Write one. I have yet to hear one. They’re okay. But they’re not as good as NICKELBACK. They sound like ‘NICKELBACK Lite.‘”
