It is with a great contentment that I realize many bands are making the very large Metal’s portifolio of themes even larger. As my deare child of the night might have realized Metal bands use many themes on their lives. I say lives because it is not only the lyrics, but all their iconography, that is, album covers, album titles, stage themes et caterva. Sun of the Suns added to their Technical Death Metal the ethereal, but not the earthly ethereal, the universe ethereal allowing them to bring themes as the space, the universe and everything that is related. I must say that this thematic seasoned their music a lot with lots of unexpected melodies and lots of well-put finesse. Just skip all the tracks and take a look at grand finale and title track “Entanglement” where great melodies come together with great aggression.
A few things about the band’s name Sun of the Suns. It evokes deeper symbolic meanings, like China’s “Three Suns” doctrine (Green, Red, White Suns for different eras) or Mesoamerican “Five Suns” myths (world cycles), often signifying divine power, cosmic change, or eschatological epochs in spiritual or mythological contexts, representing transformative phases or higher spiritual realities beyond the physical.
“Entanglement” is the album where Sun of the Suns let the magic happens with lots ambient noise as intro “Wanderer Of The Cosmos” delivers the fan followed by the Melodic Death Metal driven instrumentals of “On The Last Day Of Earth,” whose vocals, however, are more aggressive. With “On The Last Day Of Earth“ the fan will get a taste of everything the band has to give. I liked very much the philosophical approach of the song. By the way, it is this philosophical approach that makes the band so different from its peers. “Ephemeral, Ethereal, Eternal“ does not change the subject and keeps the aggression. but in a more cadenced way introducing more melodies to the stew. There are tracks as “Wanderer Of The Unknown” where the band dives into its interest of the unknown. It is alos a track where the band’s mix works stronger delivering the fan a song full of the strength Death Metal delivers plus some melodies and some more finesse.
I have to say “Entanglement” is a very interesting album not only for the music within, but also for the thematic Sun of the Suns embrace and all it represents.

I’m just a lucky guy who has chosen metal to live with for a long time. Metal changed my life for good. It made me more confident and stronger. Metalheads are naturally far away from the mass mediocrity and don’t accept impostures from anybody else. Metal is more than music, it’s a life changing oportunity!
