Folk metallers from Denmark, SVARTSOT, have released their first ever music video for track ‘Midsommer‘, which is from the band’s latest album, Vældet. Video can be seen below.
Filming took place at Jels Vikingeby in Jutland, Denmark on the weekend of 27th and 28th of June (just after the actual date of Midsummer Eve, the 23rd of June), and was filmed and edited by the talented young Danish video producer, Christian Søes. In keeping with the lyrics for the track, the video portrays the older Danish Midsummer Eve tradition of building a fire to ward off evil spirits on the shortest night of the year.
