THE CASUALTIES are launching a major comeback in 2026, highlighted by a new album titled Detonate, set for release via Hellcat Records, along with an extensive North American tour. We caught their stop in Oxnard on April 8 to bring you some exclusive shots.
The tour runs from early April through late May 2026, with dates in cities including San Diego, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver. Throughout the run, the band has delivered exactly what fans expect from one of street punk’s most enduring acts: loud guitars, shouted anthems, and a pit that barely stops moving all night. The veteran New York punk group continues to prove that, decades into their career, their performances remain urgent, chaotic, and completely authentic.
Opening the Oxnard show were underground acts BULLSHIT DETECTOR and TRIGGER DAMAGE. BULLSHIT DETECTOR brought a raw street-punk/Oi! sound rooted in fast, aggressive songwriting and politically charged lyrics, while TRIGGER DAMAGE leaned toward a heavier approach, blending hardcore intensity with thrash-influenced riffs. Both bands have built their reputations through club shows and regional touring, making them a fitting addition to the lineup.
When THE CASUALTIES finally stormed the stage, the venue erupted. Frontman David Rodriguez immediately took control, leading a relentless set packed with street-punk anthems. Early highlights included fan favorites such as “People Over Power,” “Criminal Class,” and “Borders,” each igniting massive sing-alongs, with the crowd shouting choruses back louder than the PA.
Midway through the show, guitarist Jake Kolatis drove the band into a ferocious performance of “1312,” sending the pit into its most chaotic frenzy of the night. The momentum never let up—especially during “We Are All We Have,” which transformed the entire venue into a unified chant of rebellion and solidarity.
