THE EXPLOITED’s WATTIE BUCHAN Suffers Onstage Collapse At Wiesbaden, Germany Show

The Exploited Live 2026

THE EXPLOITED frontman Walter David “Wattie” Buchan collapsed on stage during the band’s concert at Schlachthof in Wiesbaden, Germany on Saturday night, January 31.

According to reports from the venue, Buchan went down during the first song of THE EXPLOITED’s set and required immediate medical attention. He was later taken to a local hospital, where he was said to be responsive.

The band addressed the incident the following day in a statement shared via social media, confirming that several upcoming shows have been canceled as a result.

“As Wattie collapsed yesterday during the show in Wiesbaden/Germany, we have to cancel the upcoming gigs in Tallinn & Riga. We try to find new dates ASAP. Rostock and Berlin we announce as soon as we have more info,” the band wrote.

They added: “Wattie is in hospital right now for observation and checkups. He had a flu the last days and gets dehydrated. That’s why he collapsed. Thanks and love to all the nice people who took care and immediately gave first aid. We will keep you updated!”

Buchan has faced health issues in the past, including several heart-related incidents that have previously forced THE EXPLOITED to cancel or postpone shows. Most recently, he was hospitalized after collapsing on stage during a concert in Colombia in December 2022.
