THE SMASHING PUMPKINS are set to celebrate one of alternative rock’s most iconic releases with a massive North American outing this fall.
THE SMASHING PUMPKINS have officially announced “The Rats In A Cage Tour”, a 27-date run marking the 30th anniversary of their landmark 1995 double album Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness.
Dubbed “The Rats In A Cage Tour”, the trek will see the THE SMASHING PUMPKINS deliver “two unique sets”, including a performance of the classic LP in its entirety, alongside a second set featuring material “from nearly four decades of unruly hits and dark treasures.”
The tour is scheduled to kick off on September 30 in Columbus, Ohio, before wrapping up on November 12 at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California.
Fans looking to secure tickets early will have multiple opportunities, with Citi cardmember and Verizon Access pre-sales beginning Tuesday, May 19 at 10:00 a.m. local time. A Live Nation All Access pre-sale will follow on Wednesday, May 20 at 10:00 a.m. local time, while general public ticket sales begin Thursday, May 21 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
