TILL LINDEMANN Files Lawsuit Against German Publication For Alleged Document Falsification And Attempted Trial Fraud

Till Lindemann

RAMMSTEIN frontman Till Lindemann is suing a German media outlet over its coverage of sexual misconduct allegations that surfaced against him last year.

The controversy erupted when a fan accused Lindemann of drugging and grooming her for sex after a concert. While she denied being sexually assaulted, the allegations sparked a firestorm, leading to investigations by both Lindemann‘s publisher and the Berlin public prosecutor’s office. Both inquiries were ultimately closed.

Despite the dropped investigations and Lindemann‘s consistent denial of the accusations, the scandal resulted in significant backlash, including the termination of his publishing contract.

The investigation was closed in August 2023.

Loudwire reports that Lindemann has now initiated legal action against Der Spiegel executives. In a press release dated August 2nd, Lindemann‘s legal team announced that a criminal complaint has been filed with the Hamburg Public Prosecutor’s Office, accusing the publication of fabricating documents and attempting to manipulate the legal process.

In a recent statement, RAMMSTEIN thanked their fans for attending their shows while also addressing the allegations that have been circulating since last summer.

Band said in a statement:

“We would like to say a big thank you to all of our fans, our friends and visitors to our concerts. Thank you for your support, warmth and support on this 2024 tour. We could feel this everywhere and felt carried on a wave full of emotions.

“It was an honor to be able to play for you, to be a part of these happy moments and shared joy. Because of you, we are a band that has found its joy in music and on stage again. Every concert was a healing act for us. We thank you for that. We have been actively dealing with the allegations made against the band since last summer. We take this debate seriously, even if much of it is baseless and grossly exaggerated. It is an internal process that will accompany us for a long time.

“Each of us does it in our own way and deals with it differently. At this point we would particularly like to thank our families and loved ones for their unrestricted support and love; they too were hit hard by the allegations and the media’s handling of them.

“We would like to thank our crew, our management, all our employees and everyone who has supported us and remained loyal along this journey. This huge stadium tour with this great show and this extraordinary stage has now come to an end after 135 concerts in 5 years with 6 million fans. It’s not RAMMSTEIN. It’s not us. It’s not you.

“The path continues…
