Tom Morello is reshaping his spring schedule in order to return to the road alongside Bruce Springsteen and the E STREET BAND. The decision comes shortly after the two longtime friends shared the stage at an anti-ICE protest concert organized by Morello in Minneapolis last month.
Because of his involvement in Springsteen’s upcoming “Land Of Hope & Dreams American Tour,” Morello has called off several previously announced solo appearances. The canceled dates include:
May 8 – Daytona, FL – Welcome to Rockville
May 16 – Columbus, OH – Sonic Temple
May 24 – Napa Valley, CA – BottleRock Napa Valley
In addition, a number of headline shows have been postponed to later dates, with all previously purchased tickets remaining valid:
May 9 – Fort Lauderdale, FL – Revolution Live
May 10 – Tampa, FL – The Ritz Ybor
May 12 – Atlanta, GA – The Eastern
May 13 – Nashville, TN – Cannery Hall
May 15 – Milwaukee, WI – The Rave/Eagles Club
Morello addressed the updated plans in a February 24 social media post, explaining the reasoning behind the change: “After Bruce joined me last month in Minneapolis for our ‘Defend Minnesota‘ charity concert, I was reminded how important our platform is, and how crucial the resistance work is that our music can do together at this dangerous historical juncture. Together, Bruce, the E STREET BAND, and I are going to turn a spotlight on the current threats to democracy and human rights happening all around us the in the spirit of freedom, justice, and rock n roll. This will necessitate postponing a few of my solo shows in May. I have a deep love and respect for all my friends, fans & comrades and I promise that we will find a way to be together for these shows, in these towns, very soon.”
The guitarist is now set to join Springsteen and the E STREET BAND at the following stops on the tour:
