TOMMY LEE’s Wife BRITTANY FURLAN Opens Up About Falling For RONNIE RADKE Catfish Scam: ‘I Was So Lonely’

Brittany Furlan, wife of MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee, has opened up about her involvement in a catfishing scheme that recently made headlines. In the final episode of her podcast, This Is the Worst, Furlan shared a deeply personal account of how an impersonator pretending to be FALLING IN REVERSE frontman Ronnie Radke was able to gain her trust—and why she was vulnerable to it.

Furlan revealed that the emotional disconnect in her marriage had reached a breaking point, leading her to seek comfort in unexpected places. “I reached a place of loneliness in my marriage where I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy,” she said candidly. “I got to a point where I was just so incredibly lonely, and we were very disconnected for a very long time.”

According to Furlan, the fake Ronnie Radke contacted her via Snapchat, and at the time, the attention felt like a lifeline. “Coming from a place of desperate loneliness, you kind of grasp onto any affection that anyone gives you—or attention, or whatever,” she admitted.

The situation came to light when Radke publicly denied having any contact with Furlan, after being approached by Tommy Lee. The rock frontman clarified that it was a case of catfishing, revealing that someone had impersonated him and contacted Furlan under false pretenses.

Despite the public fallout, Furlan accepted full responsibility for interacting with the fake account. She acknowledged that engaging in conversations outside her marriage was a mistake, but admitted she hadn’t anticipated the situation escalating so publicly.

What made the deception even more convincing was the catfisher’s knowledge of Furlan’s personal life. “They knew the ins and outs of my relationship, which is really weird,” she noted. “They were like, ‘I know you’ve been with your husband for a while, I know he drinks a lot.’”

Furlan also shared that she had been struggling for some time and even turned to AI for emotional support. “I literally asked Chat GPT for words of affirmation to make me feel loved and appreciated,” she said.

In a surprising twist, the scandal may have helped repair the rift in her marriage. “All of this happening has weirdly brought us closer together, which is really strange,” Furlan reflected. “I think we were finally faced with the reality of, what would life really be like without each other?”

She hinted that this wasn’t the first time their relationship had been tested. “We’ve been through this situation similarly before,” she said, implying past transgressions and personal growth.
