It’s really hard for any sort of pure thrash metal band to really get a foothold out there in today’s metal world without taking too much from the Big Four to the point of basically copy and pasting their everything. I’m not saying that’s what Tonic Breed has done, I’m just trying to make a point. Now, “Outsold” is a thrash album that certainly has taken notes from thrash bands of the 80s surely and implemented them into the album flawlessly. It sounds like an experiment if Metallica lost their memory and tried to make a brand new album that had a refined sound and that fast paced thrash sound that you can’t go wrong with. I say Metallica because that’s what Tonic Breed reminded me of time and time. Not saying they copied, just saying that the guitar notes and sound, the vocals, and the tapping of the drums reminded me of the Big Four member. This album still has its imperfections as any album does, but that does not make it terrible. It just goes to show that Tonic Breed really know what the f**k they’re doing. “Outsold” is a must for any real thrash fan because Tonic Breed has got just the music for you and you won’t regret any single moment of it.
