MÖTLEY CRÜE frontman Vince Neil made his long-awaited return to the live stage on Friday night (August 1), performing for the first time in nearly 10 months with his solo band. The show took place at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston, Massachusetts, as part of a star-studded bill that also featured POISON’s Bret Michaels and RATT’s Stephen Pearcy.
During the second song of his set—a performance of the MÖTLEY CRÜE classic “Shout At The Devil”—Neil addressed the crowd, sharing an emotional update on his absence.
“Hey, thank you, everybody. It’s good to be here. I haven’t been on stage since almost a year now,” he said. “I had a medical thing that happened to me, and they said I wouldn’t be back on stage here. I said, ‘F**k that, man.’ And I’m back and I’m with you guys tonight. And I’m really proud to be here, man. Thank you so much.”
Prior to the Boston show, Neil had last performed in October 2024 with MÖTLEY CRÜE at the Aftershock festival in Sacramento, California.
Neil’s solo band features longtime collaborators Dana Strum (bass) and Jeff “Blando” Bland (guitar) of SLAUGHTER, along with powerhouse drummer Zoltan Chaney.
Five months ago, MÖTLEY CRÜE‘s Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM—originally set for March 28 through April 19, 2025—was postponed due to a medical procedure recommended by Neil’s doctors. The new run of shows is scheduled for September 12 through October 3. Tickets from the original dates will remain valid for the rescheduled performances.
