Hawkins and his bandmates played for over two hours in Buenos Aires’ Hipódromo De San Isidro, where he took the mic for a cover of QUEEN‘s “Somebody To Love,” while FOO FIGHTERS frontman Dave Grohl played the drums.
Hawkins passed away yesterday (March 25) in a hotel room in Bogota, Colombia. No official cause of death has been revealed.
Before joining FOO FIGHTERS in 1997, Hawking was the touring drummer for Sass Jordan and Alanis Morissette, as well as the drummer in the progressive experimental band SYLVIA.
