Christian rockers STRYPER took the stage at the Town Ballroom in Buffalo, New York, on Saturday (June 8) for a stop on their “To Hell With The Amps: The Unplugged Tour.” During the tour, STRYPER is performing their recently released first acoustic album, Acousticyzed, in its entirety.
Below, you can watch fan-filmed footage of STRYPER‘s concert in Buffalo, which includes their cover of the BON JOVI hit “Livin’ On A Prayer.”
STRYPER leader Michael Sweet said in a statement: “We’re excited to show people a totally different translation of these songs. Most of the acoustic shows will be set in smaller, more intimate venues, and the set is naturally more toned down. It will feel like a family affair, like everyone is sitting in our living room listening to us play.”
Sweet mentioned that following the acoustic shows, the band will embark on a full-scale 40th anniversary tour starting on September 13, 2024.
“The anniversary tour will feature songs ranging across our entire discography,” he said. “We’ll perform a set consisting of our classic songs, then play a second set containing more recent material.”
Additionally, the band intends to provide an exclusive pre-show VIP experience for their dedicated fans. This 45-minute event will feature a private screening of a short film showcasing archival footage and photos, followed by a brief question-and-answer session with the band members.
