Will SLIPKNOT Ever Make A New Album? CLOWN Responds

Slipknot 2019

During a recent Q&A, Shawn “Clown” Crahan was asked if SLIPKNOT is going to make more new albums.

“That’s always a great question because I always wonder why people ask it,” Crahan responded. “Like, this is what I do, this is what I was born to do, this is what I’m gonna do — at this point, coming to the end of our career with one label and getting ready to open up another part of our career…

“I, personally, I can’t speak for everybody, but I personally work so hard, for the last 25 years, I can’t imagine doing anything else and giving this up,” he continued. “I just feel like it’s getting better and better. I feel like the people involved are getting better, I feel like we, as a group, as humans, as men, I feel like everything we do is just getting better.

“So I believe we’re gonna do this until we all fade away. And who knows — maybe even that last guy will do it all by himself and maybe that’ll be the best ever. Who knows?”

SLIPKNOT released their latest album, We Are Not Your Kind, on August 9, 2019 via Roadrunner Records. Album was once again recorded at a Los Angeles studio with producer Greg Fidelman, who engineered and mixed SLIPKNOT‘s 2004 album Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses) and helmed 2014’s .5: The Gray Chapter.
