In the final seconds of GUNS N’ ROSES‘ “Paradise City” performance at Adelaide Oval in Australia, frontman Axl Rose threw the microphone into the crowd where it reportedly injured a fan — although unintentionally.
The woman, who was identified as Rebeca Howe, told the Adelaide Advertiser that she was hit by a mic during “Paradise City,” the last song of GUNS N’ ROSES‘ 29-song set.
“I was in Diamond Standing, so it wasn’t even right at the front, and it was the very last song, (take me down to the) “Paradise City,” she said. “He took a bow and then he launched the microphone out to the crowd … and then bang, right on the bridge of my nose.”
Howe wasn’t able to recover the microphone, as another fan picked it up and held it triumphantly towards the band. The following video was obtained by the Advertiser.
