YUNGBLUD Breaks Down During Heartfelt OZZY OSBOURNE Tribute In Birmingham (Video)

Yungblud Live 2025

Yungblud delivered a deeply emotional tribute to Ozzy Osbourne during his performance in Birmingham on Thursday, April 23, leaving the crowd visibly moved.

Yungblue — real name Dominic Harrison — is currently on his UK and Ireland “Idols” tour, which kicked off in Sheffield last week. His stop at the Utilita Arena Birmingham carried special weight, taking place in Osbourne’s hometown.

During the set, Yungblud performed a rendition of “Changes,” originally by BLACK SABBATH. The performance struck an emotional chord early on, as the venue’s video screens showed fans holding a sign that read: “Ozzy would be proud,” while the audience began chanting Osbourne’s name.

Taking a moment before launching into the song, Yungblud addressed the crowd: “dedicate this next song to a dear friend of mine in the sky”, adding: “This next song goes out to Mr. f**king Ozzy Osbourne!”

He continued: “I’ve been sh**ting myself for days to play this in Birmingham tonight.” Pointing to the sky, Yungblud said: “Because you f**king changed my life, man! Birmingham, are you f**king ready to sing this?”

Later in the show, he reaffirmed his connection to the city, telling fans: “I f**king love Birmingham, and I promise I will come back here every year until I’m f**king dead.”

Earlier in 2026, Yungblud took home the GRAMMY Award for Best Rock Performance for his live version of “Changes,” recorded at Villa Park during Osbourne’s final concert, Back To The Beginning.

Reflecting on that achievement during his acceptance speech, he said: “You do not expect to be up here and then you f**king are, so it’s wild,” he said. “To grow up loving an idol who helps figure out your identity, not only as a musician but as a man, is something I’m truly grateful for. But then to form a relationship with them and honor them at their final show…we’re finding it so strange to comprehend.”

He went on to thank the Osbourne family and emphasized the broader significance of the moment for the rock community.

“Six generations of rock musicians [who] came together in the name of our genre, in the name of SABBATH and in the name of Ozzy Osbourne.

“I deeply love this genre. It’s all I’ve ever known,” he continued.
