SLIPKNOT Part Ways With CRAIG JONES

Craig Jones

SLIPKNOT have announced that they have parted ways with sampler and keyboardist Craig Jones.

Band said in a statement: “To our fans, SLIPKNOT is announcing that we have parted ways with Craig Jones.

“We wish Jones all the best in the future.”

After the recording of their demo album Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat., Jones became a member of the band in early 1996. Although he was initially brought in to replace Donnie Steele, one of the two original guitarists, he soon transitioned to the role of sampling and keyboards. Following the departure of drummer Joey Jordison in 2013, Jones became the second-longest-serving member of the band.

SLIPKNOT‘s latest studio album, The End, So Far, was released on September 30, 2022. This is the band’s final album to be released through Roadrunner, whom the band signed with in 1998.

The End, So Far follows SLIPKNOT’s widely celebrated 2019 album We Are Not Your Kind, which marked SLIPKNOT’s third consecutive #1 on the Billboard 200. The release made a massive global impact with #1 debuts in the Official Album Charts of twelve countries around the world, including the UK, Australia, Canada and Mexico, with Top 5 debuts in an additional twelve countries including Germany, France and Sweden.
