FOO FIGHTERS Allegedly Cancel 2025 Tour Plans

Foo Fighters Live 2023

The FOO FIGHTERS seem to have called off their 2025 touring plans. Hellfest founder Ben Barbaud revealed that the band had initially been scheduled to perform at the festival.

While discussing MUSE‘s headlining slot, Barbaud shared the following about FOO FIGHTERS with Le Parisien: “FOO FIGHTERS cancelled their summer tour. They were offered to me on a platter. A month ago, I was offered to program them with a handful of other European festivals.

FOO FIGHTERS having cancelled their summer tour, MUSE was called in as reinforcements. I accepted because I was missing a headliner on Friday and because the Hellfest audience is more and more open. With age, I too have matured, I am less sectarian.

“I created this festival for the love of punk, hardcore and at the beginning for the purists. But today, I prefer to shock them than to always do the same artists.

In October, it was reported that FOO FIGHTERS are planning to go on an “indefinite hiatus” after Grohl revealed he fathered a child outside of his marriage.

The band unexpectedly canceled their scheduled performance at the Soundside Music Festival in Bridgeport, Connecticut, with only three days’ notice.

Source close to the band disclosed the reasons for the hiatus, with one source sharing the details with The Sun, saying: “It’s been a turbulent few years, with the loss of their best friend, drummer Taylor Hawkins, the death of Dave‘s mum and now the birth of his new child.

“He wants to be at home and focus on earning back the trust of his family. Being on the road isn’t the best thing for any of them at the moment. It feels like a hiatus is the best thing for them collectively.”
