GRAVE’s 1991 Lineup To Reunite For 2025 Live Performances

Grave Old School Lineup

Swedish death metal legends GRAVE are set to reunite their classic 1991 lineup for a series of 2025 concerts. Featuring original members Ola Lindgren, Jörgen Sandström, Jens “Jensa” Paulsson, and Jonas Torndal, the band will perform an exclusive setlist drawn from their seminal albums Into The Grave, You’ll Never See…, and Soulless. Their reunion tour kicks off at Germany’s Party.San Metal Open Air festival next August.

GRAVE, a pioneering force in the Swedish death metal scene alongside bands like NIHILIST, MORBID, and TREBLINKA, initially formed as CORPSE in 1986. The band adopted the name GRAVE in 1988 and released their groundbreaking debut album, Into The Grave, in August 1991 through the up-and-coming Century Media label.

Lindgren shared with Daniel Ekeroth in the book Swedish Death Metal how GRAVE secured their record deal. He said: “We sent our third demo to just every label there was. A lot of them kept in touch, such as Earache and Peaceville. But Century Media was working faster than any of them, so we just went with them without thinking too much about it. Century Media invited us down to Germany to record that single (‘Tremendous Pain’),and it was only after that we started to discuss a deal. It felt amazing for us to go abroad, so in a way they lured us into their roster! But it turned out well.”
