Ozzy Osbourne is finally returning to the UK in March, four months before BLACK SABBATH‘s final “Back to the Beginning” concert in July. This move comes after a series of health issues delayed the Osbournes‘ planned relocation, which Ozzy first announced in 2022, citing frustrations with life in Los Angeles.
Sharon Osbourne confirmed the upcoming move to Planet Rock.
When asked if Ozzy was currently in the UK, Sharon replied: “No, he’s coming over in March. His brothers [in BLACK SABBATH], he’s excited to be here with them.”
When asked about the status of their permanent move back to the UK, Sharon replied: “Yeah, we are.”
In a 2022 interview with The Observer, Ozzy explained why they’re coming home after so long in California. He said at the time: “Everything’s f**king ridiculous there. I’m fed up with people getting killed every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings. And there was that mass shooting in Vegas at that concert… It’s f**king crazy.
“And I don’t want to die in America. I don’t want to be buried in fu**ing Forest Lawn. I’m English. I want to be back. But saying that, if my wife said we’ve got to go and live in Timbuktu, I’ll go. But, no, it’s just time for me to come home.”
BLACK SABBATH‘s farewell concert is one of the most anticipated events in rock history, marking the end of an era for the legendary band.
This event will be a historic reunion for BLACK SABBATH’s original lineup—Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward—playing together for the first time in two decades.
The legendary heavy metal band will headline a special one-day festival at Villa Park, showcasing numerous bands they influenced, such as METALLICA, PANTERA, SLAYER, GOJIRA, and ANTHRAX.
The proceeds from the event will benefit Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice, a hospice for children supported by Aston Villa.
