REMEMBERING NEVER Vocalist PETER ‘MEAN PETE’ KOWALSKY Has Died

Mean Pete Kowalsky

The vocalist of prominent metalcore and hardcore groups, such as REMEMBERING NEVER, UNTIL THE END, xBISHOPx and ETHER COVEN, Peter “Mean Pete” Kowalsky, has tragically passed away.

Kowalsky was confronted with a stage 3 colon cancer diagnosis in the early part of 2020 and had been valiantly fighting against the ailment ever since. His treatment regimen included surgery, chemotherapy, and various other medical procedures. Despite his health struggles, Kowalsky found the strength to perform at the 2021 Furnace Fest in Birmingham, Alabama, where he joined forces with SHAI HULUD to deliver a riveting rendition of “For the World” during a brief remission period.

ZAO disclosed the unfortunate demise of Kowalsky, posting the following homage on their social media platforms on the evening of July 10th: “Absolutely shocked to hear about the passing of “Mean Pete” Kowalsky. We shared many great times on the road (and almost shared more). Any time around him was a good time and the world was a better place with him in it.”
