Fallen Angel has announced the upcoming release of Black Spirits – Live, a classic 1995 broadcast from thrash legends SLAYER, set to drop on February 21. The album will be available on striking red vinyl with black splatter.
Description for the item reads: “Formed in 1981, SLAYER was one of the founding ‘big four’ thrash-metal bands that rose to prominence with the popularity of the form in the early eighties. Alongside METALLICA, ANTHRAX and MEGADETH, SLAYER reached a huge audience and has sold more than 5 million albums in the USA alone.
“This performance during the band’s 1995 world tour is proof of the unlimited power and energy of SLAYER live. Features fan favourites ‘Raining Blood’, ‘War Ensemble’, ‘Die By The Sword’, ‘South Of Heaven’ and more. A perfect collector’s item for fans of this extreme collective!”
Tracklisting is as follows:
Side A:
“Raining Blood” / “Killing Fields”
“War Ensemble”
“At Dawn They Sleep”
“Spirit In Black”
Side B:
“Die By The Sword”

Black Spirits – Live pre-orders are available at this location.
SLAYER‘s triumphant return to the stage will continue into 2025. The metal titans will headline Louder Than Life in Louisville, Kentucky, from September 18th to 21st. Their 2024 performance was unfortunately canceled due to Hurricane Helene, but fans can now look forward to witnessing their legendary live show next year.
In a recent interview with Metal Injection, SLAYER guitarist Kerry King said that he doesn’t rule out the possibility of more SLAYER shows in the future beyond the three festival appearances previously announced.
“I’m trying to be real and definitely say, hey, we’re not gonna tour again,” he said. “And we’re certainly not gonna record again, ’cause I have a means of doing that now with my band. [We’re doing] three shows for now. And I say ‘for now’ because I know Europe’s gonna come knocking, ‘Hey, man, you guys played America. Come see us.’ So it wouldn’t surprise me if something like that happened, but it’s certainly not on my books right now.”
