Earlier today, SLIPKNOT announced the departure of Craig Jones, their long-time percussionist, keyboardist, and sampler, on their social media channels. Jones had been with the band for nearly 30 years, contributing to all of their albums.

The band wished him all the best in his future endeavors but did not provide any further details. However, shortly after the announcement, SLIPKNOT deleted the post from their social media accounts, leaving fans wondering about the circumstances behind Jones’s departure, and is he out of the band at all at this point.

Original post read as follows: “To our fans, SLIPKNOT is announcing that we have parted ways with Craig Jones.

“We wish Jones all the best in the future.”

SLIPKNOT also revealed today that some of their upcoming shows will be without percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan, who is staying home to support his wife who is facing some health challenges.

SLIPKNOT‘s latest studio album, The End, So Far, was released on September 30, 2022. This is the band’s final album to be released through Roadrunner, whom the band signed with in 1998.

The End, So Far follows SLIPKNOT’s widely celebrated 2019 album We Are Not Your Kind, which marked SLIPKNOT’s third consecutive #1 on the Billboard 200. The release made a massive global impact with #1 debuts in the Official Album Charts of twelve countries around the world, including the UK, Australia, Canada and Mexico, with Top 5 debuts in an additional twelve countries including Germany, France and Sweden.
