WINTERSUN Faces Backlash From Fans After Announcing Another Crowdfunding Campaign

Wintersun backlash

WINTERSUN is set to release another crowdfunding campaign for their highly anticipated Time II album in March.

The band’s previous crowdfunding campaign raised over half a million dollars back in 2017, leading to a public feud with their label, Nuclear Blast, and the release of their third album, The Forest Seasons.

The latest announcement of another crowdfunding campaign for the release of the Time II album has faced significant backlash from fans. Many are unhappy about paying for what seems to be a finished product, especially after the band raised a substantial amount through their previous crowdfunding efforts.

Some of the comments from the angry fans can be seen below with much to be seen at the original post on WINTERSUN‘s Facebook page.

The band is currently preparing everything for the release, which is expected to happen in the late summer or early fall of 2024. The album booklet is being worked on by Gyula Havancsák, the promo photos will be taken by Onni Wiljami Kinnunen, and the physical release (CD, vinyl) will be handled by Nuclear Blast.
