Sheila Kennedy, a former model, has come forward accusing GUNS N’ ROSES frontman, Axl Rose, of sexual assault that allegedly took place three decades ago, Rolling Stone reports..
Kennedy claims that after meeting at a New York nightclub, Rose invited her to his hotel room where he plied her with drugs and alcohol before forcibly kissing her against her will.
“Kennedy found Rose attractive and did not mind this encounter. She was open to sleeping with him if things progressed,” the suit says, despite her strong insistence that she did not give consent to the violent encounter later that evening.
Later, however, Rose purportedly engaged in sexual activity with another model, causing discomfort for Kennedy.
“Rose was aggressive in a way that appeared painful for the model,” the suit says.
After that, Kennedy and Rose‘s friend exited the room. Subsequently, Kennedy heard the noise of breaking glass and Rose shouting angrily at the other model, using derogatory language and telling her to leave. Rose‘s friend then cautioned Kennedy, saying “it’s going to get bad.”
He then allegedly found out Kennedy is in other room – and then, she says, he pulled her by the hair to his bed, bound her hands with pantyhose, and sexually assalted her. Kennedy says she did not agree and felt helpless as it happened.
Kennedy asserts that the purported sexual assault has had long-lasting effects on her emotional, physical, psychological, and financial well-being. She previously disclosed the accusations in her autobiography, “No One’s Pet,” published in 2016. Furthermore, Kennedy recounted the incident in the documentary “Look Away,” released in 2021, which sheds light on the issue of sexual misconduct within the music industry.
