The former frontman of THY ART IS MURDER, CJ McMahon, has emerged online sporting a fresh appearance and pursuing a new venture. McMahon recently took to his personal Instagram to share the cutting of his long hair, which he had maintained for 15 years, alongside announcing his transition into the real estate industry in the same post.

He wrote: “A new fresh start. It took a lot for me to cut my hair after having long hair for 15years. Thankyou to @cruzeallie who owns @allieswayhairandbeauty for giving me my new look. I have a new path and future in Realestate’s and I want to hit the ground running.

“I have created a new Instagram for my new career @cjmcmahon_realestate for the people that would like to see my new future. I beg and plead that the handful of people that hate me and just want to throw shade at me here do not follow this page and let me move on with my life, throw your shade here all you like.”

On September 23, the day following the debut of Godlike album, THY ART IS MURDER announced via social media that they had dismissed vocalist CJ McMahon without his prior knowledge, replacing his vocals with unknown singer at the time. McMahon became aware of his removal only after the band issued a public statement, revealing that they had opted to replace his vocals while he was still part of the group.

The band cited McMahon‘s “recent anti-trans comments” as a contributing factor to the split, identifying them as symptomatic of a broader issue. On September 27, the band disclosed the recruitment of Tyler Miller from AVERSIONS CROWN as their new permanent vocalist.
