IRON MAIDEN Opposes Dynamic Pricing Ahead Of 2025 50th Anniversary Tour

IRON MAIDEN has taken a defiant stance against dynamic pricing, a practice that has become increasingly common in the entertainment industry. As the band gears up for their highly anticipated 50th-anniversary tour in 2025, they’ve announced that they will not be using dynamic pricing for ticket sales.

The metal legends clarified their position on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, September 22. In response to an earlier post announcing the tour, they stated, “There will be no dynamic ticket pricing for the 2025 Run For Your Lives tour.”

The band also announced that tickets for the UK dates will have resale prices capped at face value, preventing fans from being hit with excessive fees as the tour approaches. “Ticket resale in the UK will be capped at face value and won’t open until much closer to the start of the tour,” band said. “As always, we urge fans to only purchase tickets from approved outlets.”

Last month, the reunion of Britpop legends OASIS sparked a frenzy among fans. However, the excitement quickly turned to frustration when dynamic pricing was employed for their UK and Ireland tour. Ticketmaster‘s website was inundated with eager fans waiting for hours, only to find that prices were being artificially inflated. In some cases, ticket prices rose from £135 to a staggering £350, leading to widespread outrage.

The controversial use of dynamic pricing by Ticketmaster has caught the attention of both the UK government and the European Commission, who are now investigating the company. In response to the public outcry, the Gallagher brothers of OASIS acknowledged the controversy but took no concrete action to address it, instead opting to distance themselves from the issue.
