KIRK HAMMETT Sustains Injury During METALLICA Show (Video)

Kirk Hammett Injured

METALLICA embarked on their “M72” tour earlier this year, kicking off with a series of live shows in Europe. One of the highlights of the tour is their innovative concept called the “No Repeats Weekend.” During this special weekend, METALLICA performs at the same venue in each city for two nights, with completely different setlists and opening acts for each performance.

This unique approach allows fans to enjoy songs that are not frequently played in METALLICA‘s usual setlists. It also gives the band an opportunity to bring freshness and excitement to their stage performances. The band members have been having a great time on stage, and the tour has been well-received by their dedicated fanbase.

During one of their shows in Gothenburg, Sweden, guitarist Kirk Hammett experienced a knee cramp while performing “Master of Puppets.” Despite the discomfort, Hammett powered through the song, briefly relieving the injury by standing on one leg. He quickly recovered and continued to deliver an electrifying performance. Fan-filmed video footage of the incident can be seen below.

Although it was the first time since their 1988 album …And Justice For All that the band didn’t reach the No. 1 position, 72 Seasons represents METALLICA‘s 12th album to make it into the Top 10 charts, with eight of them attaining the top two spots.
