During a recent concert at Ford Field in Detroit, METALLICA‘s Kirk Hammett tripped and fell awkwardly, partly on his purple ESP guitar.
He threw the guitar in frustration but quickly resumed playing. The incident occurred during the band’s “M72” tour, featuring a new in-the-round stage design and a charitable component through their foundation, All Within My Hands.
Despite the mishap, the band continued to deliver an impactful performance. Kirk Hammett slipped and fell on stage in Milan due to a wet wah pedal, but continued playing with a sense of humor.
