Movie Adaptation Is In The Works For ROBERT FRIPP And TOYAH WILLCOX’s Viral ‘Sunday Lunch’ Series

Robert Fripp Toyah Seek and Destroy

According to Toyah Willcox in a recent interview with eonmusic, a movie based on the popular “Sunday Lunch” videos that she has been creating with her husband, Robert Fripp, is reportedly in the works.

These videos, which feature the couple performing covers of famous songs, gained significant attention during the COVID-19 pandemic. The movie will delve into the global appeal of the videos and the couple’s unique interpretations of classic rock songs.

“We have a documentary crew following us, and we have quite a big production company scripting an idea at the moment,” she said. “We won’t be in it. It’s for actors to play, but that’s all in the back kind of pool of what do you call preproduction. All of that’s going on.”

When asked what fans can expect from them in the future, Toyah revealed: “We’re touring Sunday lunch, so that starts at the end of September, doing all kinds of main theatres around the UK, and then we’re out again in the new year. So it’s really busy. Trevor Horn has recorded and produced us on his new album. We’ve re-recorded ‘Relax [Frankie Goes to Hollywood]’, and that’s out on the 1st of December.”
