Royalty Payments Of LED ZEPPELIN Singer ROBERT PLANT Revealed

Robert Plant Live 2023

According to Celebrity Access, rock legend Robert Plant recently received a significant payout of £7 million (approx. $8.5 million) in dividends from his music publishing companies, Sons Of Einion and Trolcharm.

These companies, which manage his music career and royalties, have been operating profitably for the first time, distributing £4 million from Sons Of Einion and £3 million from Trolcharm to Plant and his family.

During the 2016 copyright trial over “Stairway to Heaven,” Sons of Einion was identified as a “pass-through entity” used by Robert Plant to collect royalties for the 87 LED ZEPPELIN songs he co-wrote.

The trial revealed that Plant received £2.1 million in royalties through Sons of Einion between May 2012 and March 2013. Another entity, Trolcharm, also appears to handle Plant’s LED ZEPPELIN royalties. An accounting statement detailing payments to Trolcharm was presented as evidence during the trial, suggesting it serves a similar purpose.

The royalties generated from LED ZEPPELIN album sales have been shrouded in secrecy since the band’s inception. This confidentiality extends to the 2016 trial proceedings, with over 1,100 pages of deposition transcripts sealed and marked “confidential” or “highly confidential” by the band’s legal team.
