SALIVA Frontman Hints At Joining LINKIN PARK

Bobby Amaru

Bobby Amaru, lead singer of SALIVA and collaborator with Mike Shinoda on the Already Over Sessions, recently fueled speculation that he might be LINKIN PARK new singer by posting a LINKIN PARK cover of “Lying From You” on Instagram yesterday and TikTok the day before,” Alternative Nation reports.

Now, he further stirred excitement by sharing a video on Instagram, announcing he had just landed in LA.

LINKIN PARK fueled fan excitement last Saturday by posting a countdown timer on their social media. This mysterious clock, also visible on their website, is set to expire on Wednesday, August 28th. Fans immediately speculated that this countdown could signal a new vocalist announcement or even a reunion tour.

Rumors have been swirling for months that the band has been searching for a replacement for their late lead singer, Chester Bennington.

According to a report by Billboard this past April, booking agency WME has been fielding offers for a potential 2025 reunion tour, which may include performances at various festivals. Sources suggest that members such as Mike ShinodaBrad Delson, and Dave Farrell are involved in planning this venture.

The anticipation reached a fever pitch on Monday when SUM 41 urged fans to tune in on Wednesday morning for a “Deryck Whibley announcement.” With both events happening on the same day, many fans believed that Whibley might be the chosen vocalist for LINKIN PARK. Last night, Whibley said he’s not LINKIN PARK new singer and that he’s having his “own ‘tour and book’ announcement that I will now move to the end of the week, ahead of our U.S. tour.”

LINKIN PARK is expected to announce more details about possible reunion later today.
