Evan Rachel Wood has shared more details about the abuse she says she suffered while dating Marilyn Manson.
In a series of posts to her Instagram Story, Wood claimed that in addition to emotional and sexual abuse, Manson, was prejudiced against her because of her Jewish heritage.
“I was called a ‘jew’ in a derogatory manner,” Wood wrote in one Instagram Story. “He would draw swastikas over my bedside table when he was mad at me.”
“I heard the ‘n’ word over and over. Everyone around him was expected to laugh and join in. If you did not or (god forbid) called him out, you were singled out and abused more.”
On Monday (February 1), Rachel Wood took to social media to write: “The name of my abuse is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson,” she wrote. “He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years. I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission.
“I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander, or blackmail. I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins any more lives. I stand with many victims who will no longer be silent.”
