GOJIRA Guitarist Forced To Leave Tour, Replacement Announced

Gojira 2021

GOJIRA guitarist Christian Andreu has left the band’s ongoing North American tour to return home in order to spend time with his first newborn child. He is being temporarily replaced on the road by Aldrick Guadagnino of fellow French metallers KLONE.

GOJIRA released the following statement: “Christian returned home to be present with his first newborn child and so Aldrick Guadagnino of KLONE @kloneband stepped up to the plate and killed it! He will be with us until the end of this tour. Somehow we managed to find a French man that shreds the guitar and looks exactly like Christian!!! #gojira #klone #deftones #vowws #washington Also… massive shout out to our buddies of @vowwsband that couldn’t make it today. Come back soon!!!”

GOJIRA‘s latest studio album, Fortitude, was released on 30 April 2021 through Roadrunner Records. It was recorded at the band’s studio in New York City, and was produced by Joe Duplantier and mixed by Andy Wallace.

Fortitude debuted at No. 12 on the Billboard 200 and sold 27,372 units in its debut week in the US, which surpassed Magma‘s chart performance.
