Jerry Cantrell has announced a reward for the safe return of his authentic G&L guitar.

As stated on the social media of the ALICE IN CHAINS guitarist/vocalist, the cherished Rampage “Blue Dress” model was taken from his vehicle, believed to be in Los Angeles or San Bernardino/Highland.

Social media post states: “Unfortunately over this past weekend we believe Jerry Cantrell’s original Blue Dress G&L guitar was stolen from his car in either LA or San Bernardino/Highland. It is pictured here and was encased in a black G&L gig bag. The serial number is G016467. If you have seen the guitar or have any information regarding its whereabouts, please contact [email protected] immediately. We’re offering a reward to anyone who can help us locate the guitar. We sincerely appreciate your help.”

During its recent exhibition at Seattle’s MoPOP Museum, Cantrell reflected on the significance of his Blue Dress Rampage guitar, emphasizing: “I bought that in 1985. That guitar has been on everything I’ve ever recorded, pretty much — 98.9% of every song, that guitar’s on there somewhere. I tried for decades to wreck it and it still exists. I’ve surfed it across the stage, jumped in the audience with it, fans running up and getting their hair caught in the keys, and then trying to jump back in the audience pulling me with them…”
