JUDAS PRIEST has released a new song “The Serpent and the King,” which can be heard below. The track is taken from band’s upcoming album, Invincible Shield, set for release on March 8, 2024 and is available for pre-order here (affiliate link).
“This Serpent And The King issue couldn’t be more relevant right now, man,” Rob Halford told Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 in an interview earlier today.
“I don’t have to talk about current topics on the newswire. But yeah, this is it. This is raging right now, this fight that’s going on. The good news is the battle always ends in the right place, which is: good overcomes evil. Love always wins. Love will always come out on top. No matter how dark, how bleak, how terrible things might be, love will come out, the light will shine, the power will reign, and humanity progresses.
“This is the context of all of the imagery and fantasy of The Serpent And The King.”
The undisputed hardest working band in metal will also be embarking on a world tour in 2024, with the UK leg kicking off in Glasgow on March 11th and includes a show at London’s OVO Wembley Arena on March 21st.
Over the past 50 years JUDAS PRIEST have sold over 50 million albums worldwide and headlined the world’s biggest stadiums. With their evolving music and live performances also came a powerful unique identity, a look which has both defined the group and influenced future generations of metal bands the world over. With each year the JUDAS PRIEST legend continues to grow; 2022 saw them inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and complete a sold-out rescheduled world tour in support of their 50th Anniversary. As we roll into 2024, JUDAS PRIEST continue to retain their crown as one of the biggest and best bands in the world.
