Kanye West has issued a response to Ozzy Osbourne following Osbourne‘s accusation of him being an anti-Semite.

The dispute emerged recently when the frontman of BLACK SABBATH took to social media to criticize the rapper for using a sample of one of his songs without obtaining permission.

At the United Center, West, now known as Ye, along with Ty Dolla $ign, hosted the listening party ahead of the release of the Vultures LP. During the event, they played a track that incorporated a sample from Ozzy‘s live rendition of “Iron Man” from singer’s solo performance at the US Festival in 1983.

In reaction to the sampling, Ozzy Osbourne criticized West, expressing his discontent on Instagram where he referred to the rapper as an “anti-Semite”.

Ozzy stated that West initially sought permission to sample a portion of the 1983 live rendition of ‘War Pigs’ from the US festival, which lacked vocals, but his request was denied due to allegations of anti-Semitism and the pain he has caused to many individuals. The post was later corrected to specify the song ‘Iron Man’.

Following this, Sharon Osbourne spoke out against Kanye West, mentioning that he had “f***ed with the wrong Jew this time” in an interview with TMZ. Sharon, who was brought up in the Jewish faith, noted that Ozzy typically does not decline sample clearances. However, in West‘s case, he had a “special f***ing occasion to say no.”

Now, West has provided an update following the criticism from Ozzy, suggesting that the remarks might not have originated from the musician personally.

In the update, the rapper shared an image depicting Ozzy and Sharon dressed as him and his wife, Bianca Censori, for Halloween the previous year. In their costumes, the pair imitated a scene in which West and Censori appeared at an event, with West clad in all black, obscuring his face, while Censori appeared to hold only a cushion to cover herself.

West shared text along with the image, reading: “He obviously has a celebrity handler who’s on his account.”
