It appears that Machine Gun Kelly, (aka Colson Baker) has requested fans and photographers to address him as “Machine” instead. This change in name came about after he noticed a sign at a concert urging him to alter his name.
Machine expressed confusion about the meaning of the sign, to which the fans clarified their intention. They wanted him to consider altering his name by removing the term “Machine Gun” to avoid glorifying firearms. Their request was simply to eliminate the phrase “Machine Gun” from his name.
Machine sought his audience’s opinion by asking, “what do you think?” Their enthusiastic response included loud cheers and chants of “change it, change it.” In response to their feedback, Machine Gun Kelly posted a photo on Instagram with the caption “🗣️ ‘machine’,” indicating his willingness to consider the name change.
And later on posted this:
During the GQ Men of the Year event, the rapper and rock musician politely requested photographers to address him as “Machine” while taking his picture on the red carpet.
“I have a question, instead of ‘Machine Gun’ can you just hit me with the ‘Machine’ from now on?'” he asked photographers.
