MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee has been hospitalized due to a hand injury, as revealed by his wife Brittany through a recent Instagram story. The post included an image of Lee in the hospital with his hand bandaged, accompanied by the caption “Such a champ.” However, specific details regarding the injury were not provided.

Despite appearing upbeat despite the bandage, concerns have emerged regarding MÖTLEY CRÜE‘s forthcoming concert commitments. Currently on hiatus from live performances, the band is set to resume their tour in May at the Hard Rock Hotel Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

In other related CRÜE news, the international release of the 4K Blu-ray edition of MÖTLEY CRÜE‘s “The End – Live in Los Angeles” is scheduled for April 22. An official announcement for the North American release is expected to follow soon.

MÖTLEY CRÜE embarked on their farewell tour, officially titled “The Final Tour,” in 2014. The tour began on July 2, 2014, and concluded on December 31, 2015, with a New Year’s Eve performance at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The band signed a cessation of touring agreement, vowing never to tour again under the name MÖTLEY CRÜE after the conclusion of the tour.

The cessation of touring agreement gained attention for its unusual terms, which included a legal document preventing any of the band members from performing under the name MÖTLEY CRÜE or using the same production setup for future tours. The signing ceremony was held in January 2014, and it was accompanied by a press conference where the band expressed their commitment to making this farewell tour their final goodbye to fans.

However, in November 2019, MÖTLEY CRÜE surprised fans by announcing that they had ripped up the cessation of touring agreement, effectively ending their retirement. The band members revealed that they were getting back together and planning a stadium tour in 2020, along with the release of new music. The decision to reunite was motivated by the success of the Netflix biopic The Dirt, which reignited interest in the band and their music.

MÖTLEY CRÜE‘s decision to break their farewell tour agreement sparked mixed reactions from fans, with some excited about the reunion and others expressing skepticism about the sincerity of their initial farewell. The subsequent COVID-19 pandemic led to the postponement of their planned 2020 tour to summer 2022.
