Original SLIPKNOT Singer ANDERS COLSEFNI To Perform Entire ‘Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat.’ Album On Tour This Fall

Anders Colsefni

In October, fans of the nu-metal genre in Australasia are in for a treat as former lead singers from rival bands SLIPKNOT and MUSHROOMHEAD will share the stage for the “Numetal Mayhem” tour.

Anders Colsefni and Waylon Reavis will lay to rest a 25-year feud that has played out in the press and social media. Reavis, who last appeared in Australia in 2014 as frontman for MUSHROOMHEAD, is known for his standout vocals and will perform the band’s classics like “I’ll Be Here” and “Simple Survival.” Waylon will perform hits from A KILLER’S CONFESSION and is hinting that he will be playing his infamous “Roots Bloody Roots” cover by SEPULTURA. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to hear these iconic tracks.

Reavis comments: “Australia is at the top of my list of places I have toured. The people, the atmosphere and the weather are mind-blowing. I am also honored to finally get down to meet all my New Zealand fans. It’s just going to be amazing.”

In April 1996, SLIPKNOT, comprising of Colsefni, Paul Gray, Shawn “Clown” Crahan and Joey Jordison, performed for the first time at the Safari Club in Des Moines. Shortly thereafter, Mick Thompson and Craig Jones joined the band, and the course of modern metal was permanently altered.

Following their meteoric rise in the local metal scene, SLIPKNOT released Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat. in October 1996, which became the foundation of their 25-year legacy. For the first time in 27 years, Anders will perform the album in its entirety in Australia and New Zealand, and it may be the only time it will ever be played live again.

Colsefni says: “Ever since Xen [KAOSIS singer] called me and let me know we were on for the tour, I have been training every day, not just vocals but kickboxing and cardio. I am fit, strong and ready to tear Australasia apart! I am psyched to pull this record out of the crypt and deliver it again… probably for the last time ever.”
