RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE Has Broken Up

Rage Against The Machine 2022

According to a new social media post by drummer Brad Milk, it seems that RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE has disbanded.

Wilk‘s statement follows guitarist Tom Morello‘s solo appearance to accept their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Wilk has announced that RATM will no longer perform or tour together, as stated in a recently released statement.

He said in a statement: “I know a lot of people are waiting for us to announce new tour dates for all the cancelled RATM shows. I don’t want to string people or myself along any further.

“So while there has some communication that this may be happening in the future… I want to let you know that RATM (Tim, Zack, Tom and I) will not be touring or playing live again.”

I’m sorry for those of you who have been waiting for this to happen. I really with it was…”

The remaining band members have yet to respond to this announcement.

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE have a history of internal tensions and disagreements, which led to their first breakup in 2000, when vocalist Zack de la Rocha left the band. They reunited in 2007 for a series of shows and festivals, but did not release any new material. Their second reunion was announced in 2019, with plans to tour in 2020 and 2021, but the COVID-19 pandemic and de la Rocha’s injury delayed their plans. Sadly, it seems that the band could not overcome their differences and decided to end their collaboration for good.
