In response to rumors surrounding SLIPKNOT‘s new drummer, Corey Taylor has dismissed speculation about former VENOM INC. drummer Jeramie Kling joining the band.
Despite Kling‘s social media hints and references to SLIPKNOT, Taylor clarified that no decision on the new drummer has been made yet. The identity of SLIPKNOT‘s new drummer remains a mystery, and Taylor‘s recent denial suggests that Kling is not the chosen replacement for Jay Weinberg.
SLIPKNOT has also undergone changes in their keyboardist position, but the new member’s identity has not been officially confirmed.
Kling became the center of attention amidst the speculation surrounding SLIPKNOT‘s new drummer. He drew fans’ attention by sharing a photo on Instagram featuring SLIPKNOT‘s logo along with the caption, “Drumming is simply a matter of timing. Bring it to you. Invite the chaos.”
Yesterday, Kling hinted at his involvement in the band with another vague Instagram post that showed a new drum set. In the caption, he wrote: “New gear day!!!! Love this new ash/birch Dominion snare from @ddrumusa It’s a cool yellow orange. What should I name it? Help me out with that!!!! Post a name in the comments. If I end up digging the name I’ll send ya something in the mail, maybe a guitar pic? Maybe a drum stick? Maybe a sticker? I dunno….Something. #newgear #day #snare #drums #im666”
SLIPKNOT‘s frontman Corey Taylor had had enough and tweeted this a few hours later: “To everyone wondering about our new drummer… It’s not him. Stop letting him troll you. He’s not even on the list. #hesnot666“
