STEEL PANTHER Delivers ‘Death To All But Metal’ Performance On ‘America’s Got Talent

Steel Panther America's Got Talent

STEEL PANTHER delivered an electrifying performance on the popular reality show “America’s Got Talent.” They performed their original song “Death To All But Metal,” but with a few lyric alterations to ensure suitability for primetime viewership.

The band received high praises from the judges, including Simon Cowell, who declared them his favorite act so far. Despite being in the competition with 11 acts, only two can progress to the grand finale. STEEL PANTHER had earlier, during their audition, promised lifetime backstage passes to two of the judges. The band’s lead singer, Michael Starr, continues to embrace their parodic rock image and harbors a deep love for heavy metal.

“Look at this room — everyone on their feet, everyone screaming,” judge Heidi Klum said after STEEL PANTHER‘s performance. “I love how you rocked the stage. You sound amazing, especially the high note. Everyone was on it. Well done.”

Fellow judge Sofia Vergara added: “I’m super excited for you guys. I think America is going to love you.”

Simon Cowell showered even more commendation, saying: “I didn’t like it; I loved it. You take yourselves seriously because you’ve done this for a long time and it shows, and you don’t take yourselves seriously which is what I like [about you]. I know we’re early on in the season. This has been my favorite live show act so far.”
