Chromeskull – Screaming to the World Review

I don’t know you, my dear child of the night, but I do appreciate an album when it’s possible to listen all instruments in a crystal clear way. I just love when the guitars are loud and clear making it possible to feel all the chords and riffs; the thundering metallic bass clinking all the way around; the sound of each part of the drums so clear. That’s Metal heaven to me. That’s exactly what Chromeskull with “Screaming to the World” have to offer us today with their pristine recording and production valuing each note. Metal music gets even better when the production helps and lets the musicians do what they do best. Being raw has its merit, that’s okay, but I appreacite a lot, really a lot, well-produced albums that allow “Screaming to the World” to pass an important message: “We’re loud and clear! Listen to us!”

“Screaming to the World” is a tribute to the great Metal music done in the 1980s. Notwithstanding, to many  metallers the best epoch to appreciate Metal. As I said before, the neat production values Chromeskull’s music a lot. This kind of Metal gets even better when it’s possible to listen to everything perfectly and flawlessly. Here the band made it possible to feel all the energy and enthusiasm in the form of music. A highlight to “Love Is for Fools,” a deceptive track that starts out as a ballad, but changes its way. The message is clear. I just don’t know if I aggree or not with it. Love is truely a damn intriguing thing. By the way, the mighty Twisted Sister recorded a song with the same content called “Love Is for Suckers” in their 1987’s album.

I don’t know if it is because I’m an Accept die-hard fan, but tracks as “Another Day to Fight” and tittle track and grand finale “Screaming to the World” sound a lot as the dear band of mine. Of course, that would be just natural as Accept were one of the most influential bands of that time. Specially “Screaming to the World” with that ohohoh chorus that Accept just loved. Is it just me or my dear child of the night also think “Dog Soldiers” intro addresses to Ace Frehley’s solo album “Rock Soldiers”?

Chromeskull “Screaming to the World” was independently released on July 20th.
