City Government Cancels ROGER WATERS’ Concert In Frankfurt

Roger Waters

Roger Waters, formerly of PINK FLOYD, had his planned performance in Frankfurt, Germany, called off by the local government due to an accusation of “antisemitism,” as reported by The Times of Israel.

The show was scheduled to take place at the Festhalle on May 28, but the city government released a statement on February 24th declaring the cancellation of the concert.

The city labeled Waters as one of the world’s “most widely-known antisemites” due to his support for the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, and antisemitic imagery at his live shows.

Frankfurt’s announcement acknowledged that the stadium where Waters was intended to perform had held captive more than 3,000 Jews in 1938, prior to their deportation to concentration camps.
